AIRCRAFT TYPE
Antonov An-14 Pchelka, 8-Seat Passenger / Cargo, 2x Ivchenko AI-14RF 300hp 9-cylinder radial engines. Sometimes referred to as the "Little Bee". For some reason the An-14 was aimed at replacing the An-2 and failed to do so. This is no real surprise given that it is an entirely different category of aircraft in our view.
OVERVIEW
This An-14 is currently in Ukraine and based at a dormant site in an Eastern region. Clearly, you can see that the aircraft is in many pieces with the vast majority of components required for rebuild already present. We can locate all of the replacement parts necessary to rebuild this aircraft and bring it back to its original state.
BACKGROUND
The Antonov An-14 Pchelka is a Soviet utility aircraft first flown in 1958. It was a twin-engined light STOL utility transport aircraft with two 300 hp Ivchenko AI-14RF radial piston engines.
Production ran from 1966 to 1972 with over 300 units built. The An-14 was succeeded by the An-28 with turboprop engines and it is still manufactured at PZL Mielec factories in Poland under the names PZL M28 Skytruck and PZL M28B Bryza.
With very stable flight characteristics, the An-14 could be flown by most after a few hours of basic training and had impressive STOL capabilities. A small number of An-14's remain airworthy and are mostly in private hands.
